International Bioenergy Days
September 26-29, 2010 in Rockford, IL
International Bioenergy Days began in Sweden in 2006 as a way to bring people together to learn from “success stories” and the latest developments in the field. ÄFAB, a Swedish engineering company heavily involved in those events, was asked on numerous occasions to establish a recurring bioenergy conference that could alternate each year between the United States and Sweden, each time in a different location. Minnesota was chosen for the first U.S. presentation.

International Bioenergy Days provides an excellent opportunity for learning the latest advances in bioenergy technology.
  • This meeting will provide opportunities to make contacts that will help you create value and new jobs.
  • This is the place where managers, entrepreneurs and decision-makers from the US, Sweden, and the rest of Europe will meet to pursue their common interest to turn bioenergy technology into concrete business opportunities.
  • The conference will also highlight alternative energy in the Great Lakes region through special exhibits and tours.

Invitation to Minnesota Life Science Community Special Event!
Minnesota’s Life Science Community: It’s in Our DNA

Join us on September 30 to get inspired to be an active contributor to Minnesota's life science community. Witness the unveiling of the new image of Minnesota's life science community, Unfolding the Natural History and Science of Life, by local artist Lynn Fellman. For Minnesotans with a stake in the biosciences, the spirit and concept of Unfolding the Natural History and Science of Life is a visual representation of our shared scientific achievements and the promise for our health and our planet.

Medical Device Innovator's Bootcamp
September and October 2010
Medical Devices Center, University of Minnesota
The Medical Innovation Fellows Program, sponsored by the Medical Devices Center, provides state-of-the-art training in developing and commercializing medical devices. This is the only program of this caliber and composition in the world.

The goal of this lecture series is to provide an overview of clinical need finding, need sorting, concept generation, concept selection, intellectual property, regulatory, insurance reimbursement, and business strategy in a 6-week period. Speakers from each of these areas will present the latest techniques and information in a relevant manner and share their vast experiences in starting and running med-tech companies. Attendees may pre-identify potential clinical need areas of interest and focus on those areas during one-on-one coaching sessions provided each day.

Individuals in small and large medical technology companies, and those groups that interact with these companies, would benefit from this educational/training and networking opportunity.

REGISTRATION
All lectures (185 hours) $10,000
30 hours of lectures $3,000
Space is limited.
